Dear Diary - Chapter 4

Gikwang's POV
Dear Diary,
You'll never believe who's my neighbor locker this year. It was Jojo. Oh my gosh. Okay, breathe, breathe.
My God.. I nearly made a fool of myself in front of her. Man, I hope I'm wearing my good pants today.. My oh my. Gosh, gikwang. STOP SHAKING! Who am I kidding? Of course I would shake, its Jojo for crying out loud! My one and only crush for the past few years.
She seemed dumbfounded when I greeted her. Maybe she didn't want me to greet her. Or maybe she- Ah! Gikwang, you should relax.
"Who? Me?" she asked. Oh thank God she replied. It would be totally embarrassing if she didn't. That'll make me look stupid. For sure.
I giggled a little bit 'cause she was confused and it was cute. Maybe I should try and approach her this year since our lockers are close now.
I mean, for the past few years, ever since I entered this school, I've had a crush on Jojo for a very long time now. But, ehehe, you know. She's beautiful, smart, athletic, polite and the teacher's favourite while I'm .. well, I'm probably just some another ordinary schoolmate to her.
But this year, I'm gonna change. I'll start slow. Maybe I should start with a friendly start.
"Who else is there, silly?" I teased.
Still, not the kind of expression I'm hoping from her. She didn't seem to respond anything. Until...
"H-hey, Lee Gikwang.."
Omoo, so cute. She called me by my full name. And best of all, she knows my name! See what I mean when I said she's polite. There it is. She said it with such a good manner. I led out a laugh again 'cause she was acting so innocent when she responded.
"Why so formal? Just call me Gikwang or Kiki if you like,"
Everything seemed better now. And I can tell she's getting comfortable with me somehow. She replied with an 'okay'. Before the situation gets awkward, I took my hand out to shake her hand.
"Lets be good neighbors from now on," I said.
She lightens up and nodded. We shake our hands and she smiled at me. Overloading happiness alert!
"Do you want to go to the cafeteria together later?" I offered.
