Bibim and Sandeul were just like any other high school couples. Going on dates, spending time together and protect each other all the time. How they both wished that their time together wouldn't end. Wished that time would stop whenever their eyes caught each other. Thats when they realize, that life is just more than just wishing...

"Jagiyaa~ I brought kimchi today~" Sandeul said happily as he walked inside Bibim's ward room. "Kimchi? Yayy! Finally," Bibim replied.
This is what keeping them apart. Bibim, a sixteen year old high school student, was diagnosed with leukemia. Ever since she was sent to the hospital for further treatment, their time together had to be cut off. It had to. But, that didn't stop Sandeul from seeing her often. Everyday, after school, he would avoid every school activity just so he could rush to the hospital and be the first to see his girlfriend's smile..
"So how's your test today? What did the doctor said?" Sandeul asked as he sat down on the stool that was placed right next to the bed. "Great, I guess. Nothing unusual. Just the kind of test like he usually gave me," she repliead and giggled. Sandeul pinched her cheeks and nuzzled her nose. "You'll be out of this stupid hospital in no time, aracchi?" He smiled brightly as Bibim stick her tongue out to tease him. "Mehrong, of course. You'll be waiting for me, right?" "I promise, jagiya.."

Another day, another visit. Sandeul was hiding something at his back. Every time he passes a nurse, he would hear them say, "the girl is so lucky," He smiled to himself and thought, '
she is..'
He knocked on the door and opened it as he popped his head and surprised Bibim. "I got a surprise for you, ready?" Bibim giggled softly and nodded. Sandeul slowly entered the room and popped the gift that was on his back to her. "Tadaa! White roses!" "Omoo~ my favorite! Aww, you shouldn't have," she smiled at her and he smiled back. He kissed her forehead and caressed her cheeks. "I know how much you like them. So I bought a dozen of 'em," They both laugh and fooled around with each other.

Besides surprising Bibim with unexpected gifts, which is something he really loves to do, they both would talked to each other about the future, their future.. together.
"Lets have a son first!" Sandeul suggested. Bibim raised an eyebrow and shook her head; disagreeing what he said. "No, I want a daughter," she smiled and rose off to her dreamland about having a cute daughter with him. He holds her hand and looked deeply into her eyes.
"You're right. If we get a daughter, I'm sure she's gonna have your eyes, your smile, your personality-"
before he could go on, Bibim cut him off. "But definitely not your clumsiness. Hahaaa" he hits her shoulder softly as she playfully tease him by insulting him.
"But, if we have a son, I'm sure he'll be like his appa," Bibim said softly.

Before Sandeul could even put a single foot into his girlfriend's ward room, he heard a loud scream coming from the inside. It sounded like Bibim.. whats wrong with her? Why did she sound so pissed?
Suddenly, the door stormed open and two unfamiliar people came out from the room. Sandeul quickly rush inside and held onto Bibim's shoulder. He wrapped his arms around her as he comforted her gently with his soft kisses landing on her head.
"I may not know whats going on, but.. calm down, jagiyaa.. everything's alright.."
Bibim tightened the hug as she pulled him closer to her. "Don't ever let me see that person again.. please.. h-he.." "what? just tell me," Sandeul insisted..
"That person.. he promised to donated some of his blood for me.. but, he canceled it at the last minute. Coward jerk.." tears started falling rolling down her cheeks. Sandeul was heartbroken after hearing her explanation. How could that guy to this to her.. its already bad enough that she had to stay in bed 'cause of leukemia. And now he crushed her hopes of getting better by cancelling his so-called generous offer.
Sandeul did thought about donating HIS blood to her, but unfortunately, their blood types weren't the same so it was no use anyway..
March 26th 2010
On his way to Bibim's room, he passed by the doctor's room that was treating Bibim now. But, something stopped him from going further after he overheard what the doctor was talking to his nurse.
"That girl, Bibim.. I think.. theres nothing more we can do. Its just too critical now.."
It nearly killed him when he heard those words coming out from the doctor's own lips. He tried to control himself from barging in. He eaves-drop for awhile as he went closer to the doctor's door office.
"Thats right," the nurse replied. "We are just waiting for her time to come..."
Thats when Sandeul snapped. He kicked the door opened and gripped the doctor's collar tightly. He nearly lost his control over his body. "YOU LIAR! YOU LIED TO US! You told us she had 75% of getting cured! You promised!"
Hey, 75 percent of chances is a lot. Before Sandeul could bash that doctor a little more, the doctor calmly removed his hands from ruining his shirt and patted Sandeul's shoulder. "Listen boy," he took a deep breath and continue, "I don't know how to tell you this, but, even a 99% chances, the risk is still there. We still can't guarantee if she'll get better or not. We're doing the best we can,"
Sandeul walked out of the room and continued his intention to Bibim's room. He stepped inside and sat next on the stool where he usually sits. He was just being quiet which made Bibim confused. Its not like him for staying still like that. He's usually the kind of person who always brighten up the room.
Sandeul's mind is messed up right now. His head is filled with decisions he can't solve. He doesn't know if he should tell her what he heard..
"I heard.." Bibim spoked breaking the silence that nearly overtake the situation. She smiled weakly as she played with her fingers nervously. "I heard what the doctor said. Its not like I'm deaf. His office is just right next to my room, how is that stopping me from hearing the whole scene?" she stopped for awhile and she turned to face Sandeul.
"The doctor is such an idiot.. talking so loud like that..hahaa" she laughed sarcastically as she flipped her hair slowly. "My time will come soon.. I have no place on this earth anymore.."
Sandeul got up from his seat and hold her shoulders. "Bibim! Jagiya! Stop! Listen to yourself! Don't say things like that!" Bibim clenched her fist and looked up into his eyes. "Tell me, oppa! Tell me.. look into my eyes and tell me.. that I'll get better. You heard the doctor yourself, Sandeul.."
He cupped her face and looked into her eyes like she told him to. "You'll get better," he said softly; daring to take the dare that his own girlfriend gave him. She pushed him away and burried her face in her palms. "No! No! Stop! I'm sick.. sick and tired of people who get my hopes up and.. and crushed them down a few seconds later! That doctor is just like the person who wanted to donated his blood to me. Everything, is a bunch of lies!"
Sandeul tried to stop her from talking some more nonsense before she said anything more stupid.. "Jagiya!"
"YOU TOO, Oppa!" she screamed which cause Sandeul to not dare to even let out a single word came out from his mouth again..
"Just stop visiting me already! I don't want to get close to anyone anymore. Get out!" she threw a pillow at him and landed her head on the bed; trying to cover her tears.
Sandeul walked out of the room like how he was instructed to. He did what she told him just to please her. He just doesn't want the situation to get worse. So he head no choice, but to step out no matter what..
