White rose - Chapter 5 (Thursday, 4 August 2011 / 08:45 / 3 responded)
Just when you thought the story ended, I shall take you to another journey. This story.. is just getting started..

A month passed, which means its been a month since the last time Sandeul saw Bibim in front of his own two eyes. He hasn't heard her laugh, seen her smile and feel her hugs. How he missed to have his hands wrapped around her eyes. He reminisced all the moments they had with each other. Those precious seconds when he saw her delicate eyes looked straight into his soul. When she was his damsel in distress and when he sang her to sleep. How he missed them all so much.

Ever since she's gone, the future they destined to share went along with her. Sandeul had changed.. big time. He turned into such a loner and was always avoiding every person he saw. In class, he was the quietest one, which is nothing like him at all. He's really changing and everyone noticed that, including his family and his closest friends.

Last night was the first time Sandeul and his mum had a fight. And its no kidding. It was really a bid deal..

"Sandeul! What has gotten into you! It seems like you have this...this.. CRAZY obsession towards someone who's already dead!" his mum shouted. He clenched his fist and nearly lost it.
"She's not dead, mum!" he lost it.. he's gone crazy now..
"She's not dead? She's not DEAD? Please, Sandeul.. You went to her funeral for crying out loud! What else is so hard for you to believe that she's gone!"

Even the situation at school had changed..

"Yahh! You gotta get over this already! I hate seeing you like this.. what have you done to the Sandeul that we know?" Baro tried to lighten him up. Though he was always treating Sandeul roughly, deep inside he cared. He was Sandeul's childhood friend and they had been close friends ever since.

Suddenly, a familiar voice started to enter their scene. "Baro's right, Sandeul-ssi. You're not like the Sandeul we've known for the past 3 years. Its nothing like you at all.." Jojo back-up what Baro said. Sandeul covered his face with both of his hands and was still in silence. He was trying to hold up the tears that was giving him a burden as it nearly rolled down his cheeks.

Jojo stomped on Sandeul's desk but that didn't seem to bother him one bit. But, Jojo and Baro are tired of seeing him like this. The whole class is. They miss the old Sandeul that was the class's clown; the one that made school ten times less boring.

"Wake up, Sandeul.. wake up! Stop hurting yourself like this. Stop drowning yourself in this kind of depression that you know as well as I do, that its not something anyone can cure. Only you can help yourself!" Baro tries to toughen him up; trying to let his old self came out from that little heart of his.

"Sandeul, this is not like some other kind of 'losing a girlfriend'. If its a break-up, theres still chance for you to win her back. But this is different.. she-.. she's never coming back..Ever!" Jojo continued.

Sandeul stomped his desk and turned to his two friends that was giving him a hard time. "SHUT UP! Okay, thats enough! I've heard enough! Stop saying something that I already know!" Sandeul shouted to them back. Baro rolled his eyes and responded. "Yah! Then why are you acting like you dont? Face it, Sandeul. You're in a denial!"
"Am not!"
"STOP!"
Jojo stopped both of them from quarreling any further. "Stop.. look at yourselves. You guys are fighting with each other.. what happened to that brotherly relationship you guys used to share a few years back!"

The two guys were breathing heavily from the loud voice they produced to stab each other with words. They looked at each other for a second but then the teacher suddenly came in. "Right, everyone.. take your seats..,"

Though Jojo didn't notice it, but Sandeul did. Baro shook his head and Sandeul understood why. He could tell that Baro was disappointed and Baro went back to his seat as he was told to. Jojo took a last glimpse at Sandeul and gave him a look as if she's trying to say that she's sorry. Jojo followed Baro and both of them went to their seats.

Sandeul groaned and landed himself hard on his chair while he listened lazily to the teacher when she was calling out for their attendance. He had a lot on his mind and it was giving him endless regrets somehow. How he regretted of everything thats happening right now..

He played with his pencil and saw a carving of a white rose. He stopped and smiled to himself, but weakly.. "I remember how you used to love using this pencil eventhough you already have yours to use.." he thought..
