Soo Am was struck with sympathy. That kind of emptiness in his eyes. He is drowning himself, pulling himself lower and lower into this kind of depression. The aura of a boy, who lost someone he dearly cared for. Someone he wished to stood by forever. She couldn't help herself but to wrap her arms around him and pull him into an embrace, a friendly soft kind. She patted his back and could feel the tears falling down on her shirt. Sandeul was a bit surprise with the sudden move, but he was too weak, too hurt to refuse. He realized he all this time, he needed a shoulder to cry on. A soul to confess to about that feeling of losing.
"Crying is okay. Let it all out," she comforted him. It wasn't much of a persuasion, but it was just what he wanted. And what he needed. He broke the hug by pulling himself together and wiped his tears away. Though it he smiled a second later, his eyes and nose clearly showed that he cried. One liter of tears. Soo Am handed him her handkerchief. He didn't notice it, so instead she wiped the tears away for him.
She carved a smile for him while putting that handkerchief of hers inside her left pocket where it was easier to reach. "You missed her, huh?" she asked him. Sandeul took one of the white rose and examined it thoroughly, looking at every side of it as if he's pouring out his pain away in that tiny rose that was in his hands. Without even giving a second thought about the thorns that wrapped on that rose, he gripped it and looked at Soo Am, forcing out a smile. "So much that it kills me."
It was kind of a heart-warming scene to watch him miss this specific girl so much. How much that girl affected him so much, how impeccable she was to him. This kind of darkness that surrounded him brought shivers to her, and she's trying hard to avoid it from making everything feel awkward.
Thinking back of how she treated him on their first met was a mistake, and she knew she needed to do something. She reached her arm out and paused, waiting for a response. "Hey, I think we gone off with a bad start and, why don't we start over?" she kindly offered, still putting on a smile for him, wishing he would smile back. Gladly he did. He felt comfortable with her. He nodded silently and shook her hand. "Nice to meet you," Soo Am greeted. "Back at you."
Soo Am scanned their surrounding and saw people coming out from their classroom. Obviously, class had been dismiss. "Oh God, we missed third period!? Its recess already!" she exclaimed. Sandeul turned his head around and she was right. He got up and head for the cafeteria. "We should go ahead and grab a bite. You know, to fix this kind of grief inside of me," he suggested. Though Soo Am was still worried about skipping third period, but it was too late anyway to be crying about it. In fact, food lured her everytime. Refusing food was never in her dictionary. So both of them walked side to side to the cafeteria, and the atmosphere between them had gotten a lot better. It turned out pretty well she'd ever imagined.
Ever since that day, both of them had began to spend most of their times together, especially at school. Cute but creepy at the same time for their classmates. It really feels like having Bibim back in the classroom. It was like she was never gone. Soo Am and Bibim looked so much alike, it would be difficult to tell them apart if Bibim was still alive. But, Soo Am was doing a pretty good job throwing away those sorrow away from him.
Thats when doubt started to ruin everything...
